Four women walk in hopes of a cure

Gabi Masek, Jenna Sicuranza, Kimberly Sims and Maria Smith are all from Decorah, Iowa, and they have one other thing in common as well, they will be all be walking 60 miles for the Susan G. Komen Tiwn Cities 3-Day for the Cure, according to the Decorah Newspapers.
These women did not know each other before, but they are each walking for a family member or friend who has been diagnosed with the disease.
"We really didn't know each other until we discovered that we were all training for the walk," Smith told the news source. "We each started talking about it to friends and they would say 'Hey, I know someone who is training for that, too. You should meet her.' And here we are!"
They are all walking to raise money so the next breast cancer breakthrough news will be a cure and their loved ones can be saved, the news provider reports.
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives.
