Breast Cancer At 15
Breast Cancer At 15
when i was 11 i moved to Africa with my family and they started up a baby orphanage, that was a life changing experience especially going to a whole new country with so many different cultures and on top of that being a third world country....
little did i know what my life would hold in store for me...
on the 6th of September 2008, a few weeks before my 16th birthday I discovered a small lump on my right breast, so i had some mammograms done, a few weeks down the track the lump grew rapidly, which meant i had to undergo surgery to remove the lump... so with no choice i had to have my operation in kenya, after my first operation we thought we got it all but 2 weeks later another lump started growing this time not just in one place but 2, when i got the results of my first operation it said it was on the borderline of malignancy... thats when we knew i had to come back to Australia and get better treatment in better facilities...
finally after my 4th operation the doctors had positive news i got the all clear... :) :)
currently this year (2011) i am undergoing my reconstruction surgery (my 5th),
with everything that happened i have never regretted it, it was definately a life changer and made me see life from a different perspective....definately wouldnt have been able to get through it if it wasnt for all the support i had from both my family and friends... :)
i just want to inspire every woman that no matter what stage your cancer is at that there is alway someone out there praying and thinking of you... your not alone :) :) :)
ALWAYS THINK POSITIVE :) :)
